The Bible shows Jesus made the Pope and he said whoever rejects the Pope rejects Jesus. The Bible explains priests were established, to submit to them, and Jesus said the holy spirit will protect the churches teaching forever.
We know this is the correct interpretation because the students of the apostles wrote other books besides the Bible (e.g. Ignatius of Antioch and the Didache) confirming what the bible clearly does blatantly say as well as the fact Christians have always believed and practiced the same thing until Protestantism was invented over 1,000 years later which the bible predicts and warns against. Protestant Priests aren't valid because they don't have the line of laying on hands transferring holy spirit for Priest ordination that goes back to the apostles.
Jesus renames Simon to Peter rock on purpose to correlate to Jesus being the rock of the faith and the pope being the vicar of Christ on earth. Bind and loose means to allow and forbid. These verses also say that the Church cannot be corrupted in its teachings of faith:
Matthew 16:17-19
17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! 18 And I tell you, you are Peter (Greek Rock), and on this Rock (you) I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Whoever rejects the popes and priests rejects Jesus:

Submit to priests:

See that you all follow the bishop, even as Jesus Christ does the Father, and the presbytery as you would the apostles; and reverence the deacons, as being the institution of God. About the feelings, holy spirit can still be active in protestant churches, and their preachers say some truth, so it's normal to feel something. But God's presence is most in the Eucharist at the Catholic Church, which is only a valid priest can consecrate transubstantiation, which Jesus said is necessary to eat for salvation.
